GNPC Takes Lead Role as Title Sponsor for the 2024 CAA Region II Athletics Championship
In a strong commitment to the advancement of sports in Ghana, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has secured the title sponsorship for the 2024 Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Region II Seniors Athletics Championship. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to be held in Accra, Ghana from the 4th to the 5th of June.
This prestigious Championship presents a significant opportunity for athletes to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. It is expected to attract approximately 450 track stars from 15 countries within the ECOWAS sub-region, who will fiercely compete at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh, the General Manager of Strategy and Investment at GNPC, serves as the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC). Reflecting on the success of the recent African Games hosted by Ghana, he expressed confidence in the committee's ability to deliver an outstanding competition.
