GNPC Receives Deputy Energy Ministers on Operational Familiarization Visit

As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and oversight in the Energy Sector, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) welcomed the newly appointed Deputy Ministers of Energy, Honorable John Kwabena Abban and Honorable Collins Adomako Mensah, on a visit to the Petroleum House in Tema. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the ministers with the diverse operations of the corporation as part of their induction process.

In his welcome remarks, Deputy CEO Mr. Benjamin Kweku Akolatse, on behalf of GNPC CEO Mr. Joseph Dadzie, expressed his warmest welcome to the Ministers. He emphasized the importance of the visit in fostering understanding and cooperation between GNPC and the Ministry of Energy.

During the visit, Mr. Albert Akwoah, Manager of Corporate Strategy, delivered a presentation on key areas of GNPC's operations. This was followed by an interactive session to provide the Deputy Ministers with a deeper understanding of the Corporation's operations and its strategic role in Ghana's Energy Sector.

This visit signifies a significant step towards aligning GNPC's operations with the National Energy Strategy. It also demonstrates the proactive efforts of both entities to ensure a smooth transition for the Deputy Ministers and establish a productive partnership.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Engineering Department, where the Deputy Ministers observed the technical expertise and dedication driving GNPC's operational excellence, which is rooted in innovation and efficiency.

In attendance at the meeting were members of GNPC's management, including Professor Kwesi Amponsah Tawiah, General Manager of Human Resources; Mr. Cherisson E. Shooter, General Manager of Finance; Mr. Eben Apesegah, General Manager of Geoscience; and Mr. Victor Sunu-Attah, General Manager of Engineering.
