GNPC Commissions 12-Unit Sanitary Facility at Dadiesoaba in Asutifi South
The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has officially handed over a newly constructed 12-unit sanitary facility to the community of Dadiesoaba in the Asutifi South District, located in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The new facility is a significant upgrade, designed to replace the outdated structure and address the community’s longstanding sanitation challenges.
Equipped with a mechanized water system, the facility is intended to mitigate health risks associated with the previous lack of proper sanitation, including the prevalence of open defecation.
At the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, expressed GNPC’s commitment to improving the quality of life for Ghanaians. He emphasized that the corporation is excited to hand over the facility, recognizing its potential to impact the health and well-being of the community positively.
The District Chief Executive for Asutifi South, Hon. Robert Dwomoh Mensah, commended GNPC for the much-needed infrastructure and pledged his support for its sustainable use. He highlighted the facility’s role in reducing open defecation and improving public health in the locality.
