
GNPC CEO Reinforces Explorco’s Strategic Role in Ghana’s Upstream Sector
Edward Abambire Bawa, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), undertook a significant familiarization initiative by visiting GNPC Explorco, the Corporation's wholly owned upstream subsidiary.
The visit facilitated a fruitful engagement for Mr. Bawa to interface with the leadership and technical teams at Explorco, gaining in-depth insights into its operational landscape while underscoring GNPC’s unwavering commitment to bolstering the subsidiary's efficacy as a distinct exploration and production (E&P) entity.
In extending a warm reception to the CEO, Managing Director of Explorco, Mr. Michael Aryeetey, lauded Mr. Bawa's appointment and expressed mutual enthusiasm for collaborating towards enhancing Ghana’s energy sector. Mr. Aryeetey provided a concise overview of Explorco’s genesis, its foundational mandate, and its current trajectory, which is aligned with future growth prospects.
